The problems and my take on them : May/19th/2009

Hey Everyone!

So this is my first post on this blog. I have learned soo much about the environment in the past month or two. It's amazing how much there is that we can do to help the environment, but nothing ever seems to get done. There is a famous cree prophecy that says this: "only after the last tree has been cut down, Only after the last fish has been caught, Only after the last river has been poisoned, only then will we find money cannot be eaten" This prophecy is nothing but true. People just do not stop.. Everything is all about money. Nobody cares about what happens to the ecosystem, or the ozone layer, or where all these pollutants are doing.. all people care about is weather or not they get their money. But basically what that prophecy means is that we're killing everything around us, and soon there will be nothing left to kill... and when that happens and all we're left with is the money... then what? We can't eat it, we can't make houses of it, we can't sleep in it, we can't drink it... we can't do anything with that money when there's nothing left, can we?


Honestly, it's sickening how selfish people can be.. no, not how slefish they can be, how slefish they ARE. I mean, life is precioius, and should be lived in a way that you can enjoy it.. and not have to worry that every year the world just might come to an end because of the stupid greediness of humans. There is only one world that we know of that humans can survive on, off of it's natural resources. But these natural resources are becoming more useless every day that we drive a car, or use a cell phone, or throw a wrapper on the ground right next to the very purposeful garbage can.

There are enough ways that we can stop the global warming and still have most of the things that we have... all it takes in just not to be lazy.. it really isnt that hard and is quite simple.. Now, right now my mind is sort of blurry and dizzy because im sort of tired and I had coffee and i'm just a little edgy, so I can't exactly remember the sollutions that I know and hav e learned about.. I write that because I dont want anyone to think im just talk and basically just complaining and giving no sollutions. Anyways, I am doing my part for the environment.. When I see garbage on the ground, i pick it up.. because it will not kill me to bend over and pick it up.. however, it will kill me (suggestivly in 2012, perhaps) if i do not. So, I am doing what i can and so should you. If your reading this blog you obviously care about the environment, so do what you can! I will write tomorrow the sollutions to the problems I have written today.. Check tomorrow for a new post!
